Choose how Kerno keeps you informed, how purchase orders are emailed and how you protect your sign-in.

Notifications

Go to Settings, then Notifications. Each alert lists who receives it, such as the assigned operator, owners and admins, or the person who made the change. Alerts appear under the bell icon at the top and on the Notifications page.

Alerts include production scheduled, ready, completed or denied, QA required, a step that's overdue, low stock, cost changes, a SKU that needs a cost, automatic purchase orders to approve, a PO email that wasn't delivered, recipe approvals and the end of a recipe test's cure.

How often a low-stock alert repeats is set in Settings, Workspace, under Low-stock alerts. See Low-stock thresholds and automatic reordering.

The Text message column is for SMS alerts, chosen per alert type. Not built yet: text messages. Tell us if you need them.

Purchase order email

Go to Settings, then Email.

  • Templates holds the email sent with a purchase order. Click New template to add your own.
  • Sending sets the default sender. Kerno default sender sends as your business "via Kerno", with replies going to whoever sends the PO. Set up company email sends from your own address through your email server (SMTP).
  • Outbox lists the messages sent or waiting. A failed one shows the reason and can be sent again.

Team notifications and invitations always come from Kerno.

Two-factor sign-in

Go to Settings, then Security. Two-factor authentication adds a second step to signing in, so a stolen password isn't enough. It applies to your account in every workspace.

Under Add a method, choose Add a passkey, Add an authenticator app or Add email codes, and follow the steps.

Recent security activity lists sign-ins with a second factor, codes sent, and methods added or removed.
